  1. When you just want to eat birthday cake: Cake is delicious. Go get a cake, put “happy birthday somebody” on it, grab some balloons, and celebrate!

  2. Back to school ladies brunch: Drop those kids off on their first day of school, and get together for a mimosa brunch to celebrate getting the kids OUT OF YOUR HOUSE!

  3. When your child gets accepted to colleges: celebrate each acceptance with school-themed decorations. (yes I actually did this)

  4. Movie Themed Saturday: On the dark, cold nights in winter, find a random weekend, get a backdrop, get friends to dress the part and make it fun! Were you counting down the days for the new Mary Poppins movie to come out? Pretty Woman night? Make a night of it and dive into the theme!

Fill your kids room up with balloons while they’re asleep:  Whether it’s to celebrate their last day of school, a victory in their sport of hobby, or just because you think it will irritate your teenager, which I personally think is equally as fun as a parent.
